Amy Qian
DATA & IMPACT FINANCE ANALYST
Amy has a BSc in Economics from NOVA School of Business and Economics, a MSc in Finance from EDHEC Business School, and a MSc in Applied Econometrics and Forecasting from ISEG, Universidade de Lisboa. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Mathematics for Economics and Management at ISEG, Universidade de Lisboa.
Amy has always been interested in projects that have a potential to solve societal problems in the areas of clean energy development and clean tech. Utilizing her knowledge in data modeling and analysis, she studied the effects of national level parameters on clean energy transition adaption rate; with her knowledge in data forecasting and spatial data analysis, she developed a tool for watering system management for agricultural purposes; with her passion for policy research, she also collaborated with local banks to investigate loan policies in rural areas.
Professionally, Amy has had several internships with investment banks and investment funds. During which she came to realize that the traditional financial institutions are often neglecting the consideration of environmental impact when making decisions. This led to her internship during her last year of masters at Impact Labs where she was able to work on projects that are closer to her belief and leading to her position now.
